Little Wandle Parent Support

  • Little Wandle for Parents At Darley Dale Primary School, our DFE approved scheme is 'Little Wandle for Letters and Sounds'. Please follow the below for the parent page of the Little Wandle website, where you can find lots of useful videos and documents to support your child at home.

Alphablocks

  • Alphablocks Alphablocks is a great educational television show that models how to use 'pure sounds' to blend words. By watching and joining in, your child will be practising blending skills that will support them in their reading journey! Alphablocks is available on BBC iplayer.

During the summer term, all year 1 children will complete a statutory phonics assessment. Please find attached the latest government guidance for parents.
