As the winter approaches, here is a reminder of our severe weather procedures in the event of potential school closures due to adverse weather – particularly snow. Any decision to close school is never taken lightly. There are many factors to consider including staff, pupils and parents being able to safely travel to school and all the health and safety considerations surrounding access to the school site in wintry conditions.

The following procedures will apply:

• A message will be sent via Seesaw.  We aim to inform all parents by 7.30am of any decision. Please make sure we have your latest contact details.
• Closure information will be also appear on the School website (www.darleydale.derbyshire.sch.uk). It will be displayed on the Home Page on the Scrolling banner.
• A message will be put onto the school Facebook page.
