Code Club
Code Club Tuesday 3.20pm – 4.20pm (Year 6) not the first and last week of half term.
Code Club is great fun for anyone who loves gaming, coding and computing. As the sessions go on and the children have experienced all the different projects they are encouraged to go and chose what they want to create using whatever they are interested in. Which could be games, animations, and web pages using Scratch, Python, HTML/CSS or Trinket.
Who knows we could be training the next biggest games designer!
What happens at Code Club?
At the club sessions, young people use free, step-by-step project guides specially created by Code Club. Club organisers, Mrs Swift and Will Astill, provide support to help the children progress through Code Club projects, to create games, animations, and web pages using Scratch, Python, or HTML/CSS using Laptops.
Code Club provide free resources.
The projects are step-by-step guides that help young people to make their own games, animations, and websites with code. The projects introduce coding concepts one by one and let young people progressively build their knowledge.
Will, who is a volunteer and STEM Ambassador also brings in his programable Lego and old Laptops for the children to take apart.
