The excitement began the moment the children arrived, as they walked along a red carpet and entered our Roman‑decorated classroom through grand doorway columns – complete with a Roman soldier guarding the entrance! Inside, the room was filled with Roman bunting and themed decorations to set the scene for a day of immersive learning.

We enjoyed a virtual visit to The Roman Baths, where we learnt lots of interesting facts and explored real-life artefacts. The children also made their own Roman coins using clay, played traditional Roman games, and finished the day with a mini Roman banquet, tasting a variety of foods inspired by Ancient Rome.

It was a brilliant, hands-on way to bring our history learning to life!
