Year 3 had an amazing time during our Pizza Making Day! The children explored different toppings by tasting a variety of ingredients such as ham, chicken and pepperoni, thinking carefully about flavour, texture and appearance. They evaluated what they liked and disliked, using this to help plan their own pizza designs.

Once their ideas were ready, the children followed a step‑by‑step process to prepare and make their pizzas, learning important skills like spreading, chopping safely, and assembling ingredients thoughtfully. The best part, of course, was enjoying their delicious creations at the end!

It was a fantastic hands‑on DT experience that combined tasting, evaluating, making and enjoying – with lots of smiles all round!
