Amy’s hair is out of control and only one ‘do will do: a daddy hairdo!
The Tiger Who Came to Tea
The doorbell rings just as Sophie and her mummy are sitting down to tea. Who could it possibly be?
In a swamp beside a river, where the land was thick with veg, lived a heard of duckbill dinosaurs who roamed the waters edge......
Shark in the Park!
Story time with Mrs Sheldon and Alfie (and a little Dougie too). Can you make your own telescope to be Timothy Pope? What other animals or objects might he mistake for a shark? Enjoy!
The Twelve Dancing Princesses
The twelve princesses love to dance more than anything else in the world. But their father, the king, has banned it - so the twelve princesses sneak out at night.
The Very Hungry CaterpillarWilliam has made his own video, telling the story 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. Click on the link to watch it. If anyone else is whizzy on a tablet and would like to send me a video please feel free!
Hairy Maclary’s Bone
And here you have it, evidenced on video......the difference between the sensible first born and crazy second child!
Not a story but very cool! My friends in Sheffield have a Robin's nest in their garden which is full of chicks at the minute. They sent me this video yesterday. Narrator Chris is Helen Greer's son....some of you may know her, as she teaches swimming at Darwin and takes P.E lessons in school.
Oh No George!
Have you got a lovely but mischievous pet like George? We certainly have!
Wow! Said The Owl (Take 1)
Wow! Said The Owl (Take 2)
Here is the actual story (I had a few technical issues and a cameo in the introduction!). It is a really beautiful book, I apologise you can only see one page properly at some points but luckily it is the page with the main illustration. Perhaps resting my device on an indoor basket ball hoop with my toddler close by isn't the best way to film but I hope you enjoy the book as much as we do.
A message from Mrs Orridge........
Questions And Answers About Space
A 'lift the flap book' with lots of facts about space.
Winnie in Space Part 1
A space themed adventure story (in two parts because it's a long one!).
Winnie in Space Part 2
Chocolate Mousse for Greedy Goose
A short story with lots of rhyme (and food!). Can you spot the rhyming words?
You Can't Take An Elephant On The Bus!
The video clip was too long again (just) but I was going to finish by asking if you could think of a tip like those in the book? Where shouldn't you have an animal? For example never let a cow ride your scooter! (I was also in the middle of explaining that poor little Dougie was upset in the background because he was very tired and his Daddy was trying lots of ways to cheer him up. His favourite toy to make him feel better is 'monkey'. What makes you feel better if you feel upset?).
The Pirates Next Door (Part 1)
This fun pirate themed story has lots of very different characters in it. I also chose this story because it has plenty of speech which links to our speech bubble challenge in English this week. You can't beat a story full of rhyme either!
