 Have a lovely Easter!

We would really love to see how you celebrate spring!

Please could you write about how/if you celebrate Easter or what you get up to in the Easter holidays?

You can send photos to: gchapman@darleydale.derbyshire.sch.uk or send them to school on the 11th April-

we will be making a big display about how people celebrate differently.

If you would like some extra work over the holidays, please can you help the children practise their tricky teen numbers (on their book bags on the yellow cards)

Our very exciting volcano- some of us were VERY worried about the chemical reaction!

We had a fantastic time at Lea Green! We built dens and toasted marshmallows.

Welcome to our Reception class!

Come and look at all the fantastic things we have been doing!

Welcome Back! We hope you had a lovely Christmas- here is our exciting new topic for the spring

The mystery of the flower press... Mrs Orridge spotted a flower press in the thrift shop, after trying to flatten leaves with books, it was a brilliant find, so Mr chapman was sent to buy it.! We were all very excited to use it and on opening it, we found petals still in it from the previous owner! We had lots of talk about who could have owned the press before and then used the petals to make cards!

Sshhhh! Don't wake the hedgehogs! We have been doing lots of emergent writing this week making signs for our hibernating hedgehogs

We have been looking for the Gruffalo this week- did we find him? Come in to our classroom and find out!

Every Friday we calm down after a busy week with a yoga class from Jane at ESCAPE yoga

This term we are learning about what lives in the woods...

We went on a Bear Hunt bare foot texture trail!

We have made yummy apple crumble from the apples we have in our school orchard!

We read "Owl Babies" and "The Owl Who Was Afraid Of The Dark" and talked about what we scares us...

Owl Babies - Picture Book Animation
