Anti-bullying Week: Odd Sock Day

Inter Faith Week. 
 

Year 4 finished Inter Faith week with an Asian Food Tasting Workshop today.  The children learnt about different foods from different cultures. They made comparisons between English food and Asian food through thinking about different types of tastes. 
Throught Inter Faith week, the Year 4 children have been learning about the six main world religions with the support of resources provided to us by Derby Open Centre.

Halloween Day.  🎃  
Year 4 have had a spectacularly spooky day! All the children were invited to attend school in fancy dress. Congratulations to Max and Freddie who won best outfit! It was wonderful to see the delight on the children’s faces when they entered the Halloween Disco at 8.40am! 
During the day, the children took part in a Pumpkin trail, Halloween art using oil pastels and then finished off the day with a STEM challenge called Treat Toss. What a bloodcurdling day!

USA Theme Day! 🇱🇷

The year 4 children had an amazing day starting to explore their new topic ‘ Road Trip USA’. The children wear invited to wear something red, white or blue. The children produced some amazing work through creating and iMovie trailer on a chosen state. 
28th September 2020. 
The Big Anti Bullying Assembly. 
Year 4 have been taking part in The Big Anti Bullying Assembly today. The children listened to real level accounts of victims of bullying, before moving on to think about what you should do if you have worries about bullying. The children stood and pledged to make a stand against bullying. Thank you to the Princess Diana Award for the assembly.

Be Internet Legends - Google Assembly. 

The children have been learning about the importance of keeping safe online today. Year 4 took part In a bespoke assembly from Google learning about Internet Safety. The children have been learning through the Interland which is the internet safety learning platform from Google. The assembly was great fun and we even had a visit from our local MP Sarah Dines.
